RUHS-BH Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Programs is excited to present the Recovery Happens 2024 Event!

As part of National Recovery Month, Riverside University Health System-Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Programs (SAPT) will celebrate members of our community in long term recovery from mental health and substance abuse disorders at our annual Recovery Happens 2024 event on Thursday September 26, 2024, at Riverside’s Fairmount Park. This is more than a celebration of individuals in recovery, it salutes those who work daily to provide prevention, treatment, and recovery services, and aims to empower others in need of treatment to seek help. You are invited to come on out and join in the celebration, so please save the date!! For those interested in participating in the Banner Contest, the theme will be:

“RECOVERY HAPPENS: Every Person. Every Family. Every Community”

Each of the Immanuel House Facilities competed for the prize of a pizza party at their location. They hold this event each year to encourage a holiday family atmosphere and team spirit.

Full Throttle SC partners with Immanuel House

Full Throttle SC is a motorcycle club that takes care of their community! They host monthly feeds for the public, underprivileged, underserved communities. They host weekly “Operation Feed the Block” events also (so long as there is a sponsor to assist). We are honored to partner with them here at Immanuel House!

Immanuel House will provide 60 turkey meals along with food for parolee families that have housing.
For the homeless (parolees or not) in the area, we will provide 100 boxed Thanksgiving lunches.
This event is expecting about 50 vendors to provide free or low-cost services such as:

Hair cuts
Covid testing and vaccinations
Medical mobile unit
LOTS of employers
Clothing
